Healthy EAT Project Official Launch
Marking the official start of a 2-year transnational initiative to combat childhood obesity, project partners recently gathered in Italy for the Healthy EAT Kick-Off Meeting. Funded under the Erasmus+ program, the summit brought together the complete European consortium to align strategies and establish a shared vision for family-focused health interventions.
The meeting allowed the international partners—including Norway’s NTNU, France’s Eurasanté, Greece’s Prolepsis Institute, Spain’s Fundació Sant Joan de Déu, and Italy’s Socialit (project coordinator) and AM.IC.A.—to finalize the operational roadmap. Work groups focused on designing the project’s upcoming core deliverables: a co-designed digital E-booklet mapping socioeconomic dietary barriers, a comprehensive E-learning platform, and specialized training materials to equip social and health educators.
By synchronizing their diverse expertise in medical research, social work, and digital health technology, the partners established a unified framework to strengthen parental competencies and build healthier, more equitable food environments for vulnerable families across Europe.
Key Focus Areas Established:
-
Partner Synchronization: Aligning research methodologies and work packages across all 5 participating European nations.
-
Co-Design Framework: Planning upcoming stakeholder workshops to build the digital Healthy EAT E-booklet.
-
Educational Strategy: Setting timelines for pilot training phases aimed at community health and social workers.
